About Acai

The acai berry comes from the South American rainforests and grows on palm trees that are sixty to eight foot tall. The berries grow in clusters and are rather perishable due to the lack of acid and sugar that is typically found in other fruits.

The Amazon tribes have traditionally used the acai berry to treat diarrhea and other digestive ailments and while they have consumed then for centuries, they were virtually unheard of by the rest of the world until around ten years ago.

The acai berry looks very similar to grapes and it is loaded with vitamins and nutrients. The little acai berry provides a lot of benefits and has a lot of culinary uses.
